SCIENCE:

Students checked homework questions from Section 14.1 and participated in a class discussion on Sec. 14.2 and 14.3. We discussed how water flows underground and the effects of groundwater on things such as erosion and rock formations. We ended class by watching a short “Brainpop” video on groundwater and answered the brief quiz at the end of the video.

HOMEWORK: Complete Section 14.2 and 14.3 Review questions on pages 357 and 362 in
the science textbook.

READING:

Students continued discussing the elements of plot, character, and theme in collection 7 on literary criticism. We also completed pages 788–791 in the reading textbook, along with the discussion worksheet.

HOMEWORK:

Finish your discussion questions from the worksheet in class. Also complete the vocabulary development worksheet for the story: ” King Arthur: The Sword in The Stone”.
