SCIENCE:

Students completed, checked, and corrected study guide sheets and worksheet on “Behaving Like Animals” for the chapter 7 test on “Animals and Behaviors”.

READING:

Students continued to read and discuss chapters 6 and 7 of the novel, “Zachary Beaver Comes to Town” in conjunction with Mrs. Chiulli’s class.

Students continued to discuss animal behavioral patterns using the powerpoint presentation and Brainpop activity.

HOMEWORK:

Study for vocabulary quiz tomorrow. Also complete the worksheet: “Behaving like Animals”.

READING:

Library Day with Dr. Crafford.

HOMEWORK:

Read chapter 3 of the class novel. Also answer chapter 3 discussion questions.

SCIENCE:

Students began discussing chapter 7 “Animals and Behavior” and began completing notebook questions and answers.
Students also completed two brief brainpop quizzes on vertebrates and invertebrates as well as checked the homework worksheet on “Bones and No Bones”.

READING:

We continued to read and discuss the novel “Zachary Beaver Comes To Town” in conjunction with Mrs. Chiulli’s class.

HOMEWORK:

Complete chapter 2 discussion questions.

SCIENCE:

Students began chapter 7: “Animals and Behavior” in the science textbook. Students were responsible for creating notebook outlines as well as defining new vocabulary words for the chapter.

HOMEWORK:

Complete worksheet: “BONES OR NO BONES”.

READING:

Students were introduced to chapter one of the novel: “Zachary Beaver Comes to Town”. Students participated in a co-class discussion with Mrs. Chiulli’s reading class to help introduce the novel. We will be using this novel for the rest of the year. Each student signed and checked out a novel to borrow for the remainder of the school year. Students are responsible specifically for the novel assigned.

HOMEWORK: COMPLETE CHAPTER 1 DISCUSSION QUESTIONS.

SCIENCE AND READING:

NO CLASSES TODAY OTHER THAN A.R. READING.

TEAM 7C took an exciting field trip to the Germantown Performing Arts Center to see a series of plays:
“The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe
“The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs
“The Celebrated Frog of Calaveris County” by Mark Twaiin
“The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Irving Washington
Students ended the day with a picnic on the lawn which included a surprise ice cream sundae party for the entire 7C Team!!!!

NOW FOR THE BEST PART:NO HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!

Today students finished the weeklong curriculumn on “Sex Respect”, which is required by the Shelby County School System. Students partcipated in class discussion as well as created bumper stickers and letters.

READING:

Students finished reading the story: “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” . We had a brief discussion about the story as well as completed discussion questions related to the story. Students also watched a short movie on the story.
